The ADJ3-XL djembe from Meinl's Earth series is an extra large djembe with a full, rich and warm sound, partly thanks to the drumhead made from hand-selected goatskin. This drumhead is attached to the drum in traditional fashion with HTP nylon cords, according to the Mali Weave Tuning System, to assure you that the drumhead will stay in tune for a long, long time. This drum was carved from a solid piece of mahogany, which was grown on a special plantation. It has been beautifully decorated with carvings that represent freshly ploughed earth and cornfields, helped by the black/brown colour of the drum. Finally, to make sure that you can safely take your djembe with you on the go, Meinl has even thrown in a professional djembe bag.
